18th November 2014 – On 17th November 2014 VedoGreen organised the event “Waiting for Expo 2015, Green Economy 2.0” in Milan at Circolo della Stampa.

During the event VedoGreen assigned the “GREEN” EXCELLENCE in innovation award to the best Italian Green Economy companies for innovation and eco-friendly technologies. The winners were identified by VedoGreen, UK Trade & Investment and Dintec.

VedoGreen has also given a preview of the GreenBook “Green Economy 2.0 – 16 stories of excellent entrepreneurs of the New Made in Italy”, which highlights stories of Italian eco-friendly innovation and sustainable growth.

VedoGreen, whose mission is to match demand and supply of capital, shares the challenges of Expo 2015. Through its corporate mission it supports virtuous green companies in raising capital to finance their expansion projects. In 2014 there were 8 Green Economy IPOs, all on the AIM Italia market (Green Economy companies represent 31% of the SMEs market). New listed companies register average sales of €21 million, with an Ebitda margin of 31% and an average market cap of €50 million (Gala data). The capital raised amounts to €81 million while the total market cap is worth €535 million (data including Gala).
The sample of VedoGreen Italian listed companies includes 28 enterprises belonging to the MTA (Mercato Telematico Azionario) and the AIM Italia market. In the 1st half of 2014 they registered average sales for €46 million and an average Ebitda margin of 32%, with €1,5 billion of total market cap.
