Sixteen British clean tech start-ups are set to travel to the US to take part in a government back trade mission, as new figures reveal that previous participants in the scheme have attracted nearly £500 million of investment since taking part in similar trips.
The Clean and Cool Mission 2015 will this month travel to San Francisco, taking 16 green companies to connect with investors, partners and customers, in particular they’ll be able to:

  • explore business opportunities in the US
  • learn from key leaders and peers in their field
  • showcase their innovations to potential investors and partners
  • get unparalleled access to the US cleantech ecosystem

The mission has seen a total of 64 UK green start-ups travel to the US on annual trips since 2010. It is organised by a coalition including UK Trade and Investment, Innovate UK, The Long Run Venture, and the Co-Sponsorship Agency.
